April 6th 2008, a date that enters in Husqvarna history with the conquest of the first MX3 World Championship GP held in Talavera de La Reina, Spain. The young riders of SIMA Husqvarna Team brought the Italian brand back to the podium after 6 years from the very last victory in the Motocross World Championship performed by Alex Puzar who, in 2002, won the Bulgarian GP in the 125 class. On his TC 450, Thomas Allier surprised his rivals, proving that being young does not always mean being inexperienced. At his very first race in the MX3 World Championship, Allier got the third place in race 1, after falling at 3 laps to the end while leading the heat. Allier just wanted more and in heat 2 left no hopes to his rivals and leaded the race until the very end. The French rider celebrated the victory with SIMA team and special guests Walter Scaltritti from Husqvarna Racing Dept. and Martino Bianchi PR and Racing Activities Coordinator, as well as with team-mate Christophe Martin, 4th overall. Thomas declared at the end of the race "This is all new to me, the team, the bike, but I feel supported both by SIMA and Husqvarna and this just makes me want to give all I can. This is just the beginning, the best is yet to come."

It's the greatest honor to KYMCO that 17 famous magazine journalists with 8 KYMCO Lux S.A. staff from France and Belgium visit to KYMCO on 28 Feb. 2008. KYMCO therefore well prepare an overseas tour to visit to the Changzhou Kwang Yang in Mainland China, to provide a much more detail of understanding on KYMCO Group. During the period of visit tour and test ride activity, every one of the journalists can well understand that KYMCO had well organized the production environment including the research and development and take high level of quality control system to ensure the high quality products. And to the new models test ride activity, including MXU 400 4x4, UXV 500 4x4, SENTO 50, Xciting 300Ri, Xciting 500Ri and People S 300i, the journalist are all very satisfied with the newly design and performance of these new models. A placa vermelha da liderança na classe S1 voltou às mãos de Van Den Bosch. O pluri-campeão da Aprilia venceu a primeira prova do ano, o GP de Itália, começando da melhor forma o campeonato. Na primeira manga terminou em segundo lugar mas na segunda manga, com um melhor acerto da ciclística, não teve dificuldade em liderar toda a corrida. Na classe S2 a estrela foi Luca Minutilli, numa SXV 5.5, tendo comandado as primeiras treze voltas da primeira manga até sofrer uma queda que o atirou para o quinto posto. Na segunda manga terminou em terceiro, ficando assim no quarto lugar da geral.

2008 Maintain Training Course of AFI system
To get conformity to the Europe regulation and to meet the requirement of Europe marketing, KYMCO has success to developed series of AFI system (Auto-control Fuel Injection) during the past years. The top one goal for KYMCO is to fit these hi-tech AFI systems on most of models. To focus on the new series of AFI models, KYMCO insist to provide a high quality of after service for global customer. Therefore, for the year of 2008 within one-week period, from the date of March 24th to 28th, KYMCO hosted maintain training courses of AFI System at KYMCO headquarter. There are six models that will be arranged for the training course, including the new models of MYROAD 700i, Xciting 300i, Xciting 500i, Dink 180i, Dink 200i and People S 300i, while the MXU 400 4x4 and UXV500 4x4 are available for test ride course as well.
Compare with the year of 2007, the participator member are increasingly. The participator comes from UK, France, Germany, USA, South Africa, Sweden, Italy and Australia. In order to provide a high quality of training and learning environment, KYMCO arrange the professional classroom for the training course. For every one of participator can have a practical experience for the AFI system. KYMCO also prepare series of AFI engines for training course and some of high technical devices will be serviced for advance training course such as AFI Engine Detector and some of efficiency devices for easy maintenance training. After the training course every one of participator will award a certificate and will be authorized by KYMCO for AFI engines system maintenance. All the participators will take full of skill what they have learned from KYMCO back to their hometown to service for KYMCO global customer.
